Keep your spine.
Spaces of deep consideration that hold integrity and authentic reflection.
A space is defined by how it sits among its environment. Is it gentle or rebellious? Does it rely locally or extensively in sourcing materiality? A space is always a reflection of desire. A desire for reprieve. A desire to be surrounded by stories and memories. A desire to articulate an inner edginess. In order to be authentic, every space is different.

a Mission Hills Residence
This home breathes through its surroundings. The palette is rooted in earth — deep woods, stone, and soft light — creating a warmth that feels both grounded and alive. Woven throughout is a bright saturation of color and playfulness. A perfect reflection of the client. One bath was added into scope as a surprise space for his wife. This project was deeply personal and full of care.
a Carlsbad Coffee Shop
Collaborative design and build of a community coffee shop. The design channels the town’s laid-back energy and pairs it with a pulse of avant-garde. Vintage elements lend history and texture. Bead-blasted stainless steel and copper relatively left raw. Layered with electric blue and a pinch of pink that add rhythm and contrast. Doug fir warms the palette, connecting to the exposed beams above.
a Rancho Santa Fe Residence
Custom elements for a newly built home and a client that wanted to slowly and intentionally refine it. Choosing to elevate rather than fill. An extremely collaborative project. A dish cabinet with a restrained minimal design yet dense merging of materials - solid brass, blackened cold rolled steel and white oak. A steel blade hood. A dining table to reflect it all.
